The Walthall County Economic
Development Authority (EDA) is an
organization sponsored by Walthall
County and the Town of Tylertown to
foster the economic well-being of the
area. The EDA has been active for
over 20 years and has helped with
the construction of several industrial
buildings for new companies and
aided in the expansion efforts of local
manufacturers. The executive board
and the board of directors is
comprised of local businessmen and
leaders of the community dedicated
to preserving a healthy business
climate for the town and county.
Walthall County is home to a skilled
and underutilized workforce. Many
are employed in positions that limit
the use of the qualifications that they
possess. It is the goal of the EDA to
help our local manufacturers grow
and attract quality new companies to
our county to provide jobs that will
utilize the skills of those individuals in
need of employment.
