- Gardening- MSU Master Gardener Program - Extension.msstate.edu; become a master gardener, which includes a community service requirements or call Diane Turnage about volunteering to help with ongoing master gardener projects at (601) 684-0894
- Mississippi Barn Quilt Trail and Walthall Barn Quilt Trail. Paint a quilt (on 4 x 4 plywood and hang it on your barn or building and include it on the trail
- Old Town Market - held the 2nd Saturday monthly (May through November) and allows the sale of produce, crafts, small farm animals, etc.. Call Tisha Brown at (513)684-0894 for more info or to volunteer to help promote the market. Vendor spots $7.
- Participate in the "Team Up to Clean Up" pilot program. Individuals or groups can borrow pick-up sticks and safety vests, with complimentary trash bags and gloves, from the Walthall County Library. Organize a clean-up event, optionally share it on the Keep Walthall Beautiful Facebook page, and receive free Wildflower Seeds upon returning the equipment. - Walthall County 4 H- Volunteers, especially trainers for the archery program, are needed to help with the shooting sports program. 4H has many other programs that need leaders to help get off the ground, such as robotics, horticulture and clothing construction.
