Bogue Chitto Water Park
Consists of 230 acres in Pike County approximately 10 miles west of Tylertown near Highway 98 in Pike County. The park is located on the Bogue Chitto River. Park facilities include: 66 RV campsites with water and electricity, 15 full hook-up campsites with water, electricity, and sewer, 6 cabins, primitive camping, boat ramp, group pavilion, picnic tables and grills, nature trail, playground, bathhouses, comfort stations, and canoe and tube rental near park.

Bogue Chitto State Park
Located 22 miles south of Tylertown near Franklinton, LA off of LA HWY 25 in Washington Parish. The 1,786-acre site includes small streams, cypress tupelo swamps, a hardwood forest, upland forests and a rolling landscape. Fourteen miles of equestrian trails wind through some of the most interesting topography of southern Louisiana. A day trip to Bogue Chitto State Park will be a full one, with a river perfect for canoeing or kayaking, 11 lakes stocked with a variety of freshwater fish, a water playground, numerous picnic pavilions and an outdoor classroom.

Located about 25 miles west of Tylertown and covering 1,700 acres, including beautiful 700 acre Lake Tangipahoa, the park offers a host of activities- 100 RV sites, 22 primitive campsites, group camping for up to 212, 27 lakefront cabins, a lodge/motel rooms, Convention Center for 200, 5 lighted tennis courts, an archery range (Nat’l Archery Assoc. approved 5-star course), 8 mile nature trail & ample shaded picnic & play areas. The lake is fed by the Tangipahoa River & offers excellent fishing & other water sporting opportunities. Also here is “Quail Hollow Golf Course”, a 4-star public 18 hole championship course, with 9 hole short course, driving range & pro shop. Homochitto National Forest and Okhissa Lake
Tucked inside the Homochitto National Forest, Okhissa Lake is an 1,100 acre clear spring feed lake and recreation area. World-renowned bass fisherman “Bill Dance” has sanctioned Okhissa Lake as his first “Bill Dance Signature Lake”, as he was involved in the fish habitat from the planning stage, and the lake is home to bass, bream, crappie and catfish. The lake is located in the rolling hills of Southwestern Mississippi and quietly tucked away in 189,000 acres of land managed for a multitude of activities.
