Parks, Lakes, and RiversHolmes Water Park is located in the middle of Tylertown and meandering along the sandy banks of scenic Magee's Creek is the paved walking trail known simply as "The Trail of Seven Bridges". The Children's Playground is adorable and open all year. From Thanksgiving day until New Year's Eve the park comes alive from 6pm to 8:30pm with the largest display of Christmas Lights in the area. The pavilion and the outdoor stage are available for parties during other times of the year. Adjacent Camper Hookups are available at the adjacent Southwest Events Center for groups of 10 or more. Walkers Bridge Water Park consists of 5 acres in Walthall County off of Highway 48. The park is located on the Bogue Chitto River and its facilities include: pavilion, boat ramp and picnic tables. Walkers Bridge Water Park is operated and maintained by Walthall County. Phone (601) 876-4947.
Lake Walthall ~ Bass anglers report the bite is good early & late in the day using mainly soft plastics either Texas or Carolina-rigged and fished along main lake points in 5 to 10 ft. of water. Try either Junebug colors or green pumpkinseed. Some bass are still being caught early & late with spinnerbaits and topwater lures near the dam or near brushtops. Bream anglers report the bite is best with the full moon when using crickets in 4 to 8 ft. of water around brushtops. Boat Ramp and Courtesy Pier. Bogue Chitto Water Park consists of 230 acres in Pike County approximately 10 miles west of Tylertown on Highway 98. The park is located on the Bogue Chitto River. Park facilities include: 66 RV campsites with water and electricity, 15 full hook-up campsites with water, electricity, and sewer, 6 cabins, primitive camping, boat ramp, group pavilion, picnic tables and grills, nature trail, playground, bathhouses, comfort stations, and canoe and tube rental near park.

The 1,786-acre site includes small streams, cypress tupelo swamps, a hardwood forest, upland forests and a rolling landscape. Fourteen miles equestrian trails wind through some of the most interesting topography of southern Louisiana. A day trip to Bogue Chitto State Park will be a full one, with a river perfect for canoeing or kayaking, 11 lakes stocked with a variety of freshwater fish, a water playground, numerous picnic pavilions and an outdoor classroom.
